Workability
Tasmanian Oak is a warm, dense and resilient hardwood. It works extremely well and produces an
excellent finish. It can be used in
Finishing. Will readily accept paint, stain and polish.
Uses:
All
forms of construction, furniture; home fit out, particularly flooring. It has very good staining qualities to
match with other timbers.
Availability:
Native forests are being closed from logging. Will become scarce over time.
